Kim Tae-hyung

K-pop idols are selected by the entertainment companies based on their varied talents and looks. Not only just singing, but k-pop idols should also be well versed in dancing, acting, speaking multiple languages, and even modeling. That is why it is no surprise that a lot of K-pop idols get into various Korean dramas to make use of their array of talents. Here are some of the most beloved k-pop idols who rocked our world through their acting skills in Kdramas.

IU

For the darling of South Korea, there is nothing that she cannot do. From smashing the song charts to writing songs that touch our hearts, IU is one of those gifted persons who make everything seem easy. The queen of K-pop graced us with her acting skills when she made her first appearance in Dream High in 2011, and since then, there is no stopping her. Her recent Korean drama, Hotel del Luna has wooed the viewers and critics alike.

Kim Tae-hyung (V from BTS)

We always knew that this charming boy had immense talent in acting from the glimpses we got in reality shows and Run! BTS. He finally kick-started his acting career with a small yet impactful role in Hwarang: The Poet Warrior Youth back in 2016. We are still waiting for more acting projects by V and even Jin of BTS.

Park Hyung Sik

If you have not watched Strong Woman Do Bong Soon, then what are you doing with your life? Park Hyung Sik, who started his K-pop idol career with the group ZE:A, has charmed millions of fans with his cute looks and diverse acting in various Korean dramas. But his role in Strong Woman Do Bong Soon easily takes the cake.

Do Kyung Soo (D.O. From EXO)

As if his notes while singing were not enough to kill us, Do Kyung Soo had to make us swoon over his acting skills as well. The guy has some serious potential. He even has won the Best New Actor Award back in 2017. If you want to enjoy the impeccable expressions of Do Kyung Soo, catch him in 100 Days My Prince.

Yook Sung Jae

No one can deny, we all love Sung Jae in his character as Yoo Deok Hwa in Guardian: The Lonely and Great God. Even with a small number of scenes, he stole the show with his charm. He has done various roles in Korean dramas as a side character while managing his career as a K-pop idol as a part of BTOB. Currently, he is starring in the Netflix original Mystic Pop-Up Bar.

Bae Suzy (Suzy from Miss A)

Many people do not even know that the Suzy that they see in so many Korean dramas was a K-pop singer once. She debuted as a part of the girl group Miss A under JYP Entertainment. She realized her skills on the screen and featured in Dream High in 2011 (The show is a masterpiece, it launched two of the most beloved K-pop singers). Then on, she bagged various good rolls in Dream High 2, While You Were Sleeping, Vagabond, and many more.

Cha Eun Woo

The visual god of ASTRO made a lot of fans squeal with delight when he kick-started his acting career with the movie My Brilliant Life. We saw him in a lot of small roles through the years but, what made us swoon was his lead role in My ID is Gangnam Beauty.

K-pop singers have to be well rounded and trained before they debut. This is why they are filled with talents that need a little push to flourish. What other K-pop singers would you like to see in Korean dramas and movies? Let us know in the comments below.
