The Boys season 2

The Boys is probably one of the most popular series streaming on Amazon Prime, the show’s dark comedic take on antagonist superheroes put it on the spotlight since its first season release. Now that the second series is set to stream, with 3 episodes on Sept 4 and then each episode airing every subsequent week. Eric Kripke, the showrunner of the series has been faithful to the comics, which is one of the many reasons for the show’s success.

Where The Boys season 1 left

The Boys season 1 went off on a cliffhanger (as every good show ends). The show is set in a world where superheroes are more than just people trying to save other people. As is humans’ innate nature, if there were superheroes, we would have made them commercial commodities, and The Boys did just that. Now, with so much power given to superheroes (physically and politically), they tend to get away with a lot of their sins. But there is one powerless man who stands in the path of the supes: Billy Butcher. His wife was killed by Homelander, and now he wants to kill all of them. So he assembles a team to kill every one of the supes in the seven. The season ended with a shocking discovery that we should keep under the wraps cause we don’t want any spoilers in our hands.

What does The Boys season 2 trailer say?

Well, to be honest, the trailer released a lot of footage, but creating a storyline based on it is impossible. All we know is that Stormfront (the new supe) is more harmful than good. Moreover, she is planning to create an army of supes, which can’t be good. At The Boys‘ end, Billy Butcher is back, Hughue is trying his best to do things formally, and Frenchie and Female got something going on.

Are there any new Supes?

The trailer doesn’t shy away from sharing details of the new supes. There are old superheroes like Starlight as Erin Moriarty, Chace Crawford as The Deep, Antony Starr as Homelander, Dominique McElligott as Queen Maeve, Nathan Mitchell as Black Noir, and Jessie T. Usher as A-Train. Although season 1 teased many superheroes, the show didn’t introduce them. As season 2 is a fresh start, we can expect some new Superheros to come in. One of them would be Stormfront. The trailer shared a gist of the telekinetic superhero. However, as for the amount of her presence is a guess at this moment of time. In season 1, Lamplighter was mentioned a few times and the reason for his dismissal from the seven. The trailer showed a glimpse of the ex-member, who inherits the power to wield fire.

Evan Goldberg, one of the producers of the series said, “season 2 is definitely better than the first season. ” He also added, “It immediately looks a bit bitter. It feels bigger. The actors all know what they are doing. “

All could be said when all the episodes streams on Amazon Prime, till then we can only make assumptions. All we know is that the boys will be darker and more intense than before. The reviews from critics say The Boys season 2 gave the space and spotlight to the girls this season. But if they really want to do that then they have to make cooler costumes for women for all sizes and promote body positivity as Ashley Graham does.

As we wait for September 4th to hurry, check out some of the dark superheroes of the DC cinematic universe
