Aadujeevitham is one of the upcoming Malayalam movies survival drama film written and directed by Blessy. The movie is an adaption of the novel with the same title, Aadujeevitham by Benyamin. The film stars Prithviraj Sukumaran as Najeeb, an immigrant worker in Saudi Arabia. Prithviraj had done a stunning makeover for this movie that brought him immediate attention in social media. The photographs and videos of the actor have gone viral ever since posted.
Marakkar: Arabikadalinte Simham
Marakkar: Arabikadalinte Simham is one of the two Mohanlal’s upcoming Malayalam movies. It is a historical epic war film and is yet another Mahonlal-Priyadarshan project with the latter being the director. The film chronicles the battle exploits of Kunjali Marakkar IV played by Mollywood big star Mohanlal. The movie had a year-long post-production work with an expensive budget of ₹100 crores. Thus, Marakkar: Arabikadalinte Simham is the most expensive Malayalam movies ever made. The Covid-19 pandemic delayed the film’s original release of 26 March 2020.
Empuraan is the second of the two Mohanlal’s upcoming Malayalam movies. It the exciting sequel of the Malayalam movie Lucifer. Lucifer is the first part in a trilogy and will be followed by L2: Empuraan and an untitled sequel, which are in development. Lucifer is a 2019 Indian Malayalam-language action film with Prithviraj Sukumaran as the director and written by Murali Gopy. The film marks Prithviraj’s directorial debut and features Mohanlal in the lead role and easily one of the best Malayalam movies of 2019. Lucifer is currently the highest-grossing Malayalam film ever made, grossing ₹200 crores internationally.
Kurup is an upcoming crime thriller Malayalam movie directed by Srinath Rajendran. Dulquer Salmaan, who is also the producer of the film, plays the central character of the film, Sukumara Kurup. The movie is a real incident based on the life of the notorious criminal Sukumara Kurup. The cinematographer of the movie is Nimish Ravi. He has already proved his talent in his previous movie Luca, a step away from the romantic hero of the 2015 slice of life Tamil film, OK Kanmani. It is exciting to see his frames and stills again on the big screen, making it one of the upcoming Malayalam movies that TRB is waiting for.
If you ask any Malayalee, which is the most exciting movie they are waiting for, the unanimous answer will be Karikku’s, Thera Para. The Thera Para movie is an upcoming Indian Malayalam-language comedy thriller movie, written and directed by Nikhil Prasad, the founder of Karikku team. At first, Thera Para was a web series streamed on Youtube depicting the story of four jobless friends living together struggling to cope up with daily problems, and now its one of the most exciting Malayalam movies set to release.
